The hotel is extremely beautiful and has a very pleasant atmosphere, just like the rooms, which were truly spacious. There were four of us in one room, but it still didn’t feel crowded. However, the fourth guest had to sleep on a pull-out armchair, which was unfortunately hard and uncomfortable. The spaces were well designed, and everything necessary was available. The air conditioning worked excellently, helping to maintain a pleasant temperature in the room.
We were completely satisfied with the cleaning service; they came every day, and even vacuumed the balcony, which is not something you see every day! The toilet paper and towels were replenished daily, and on the third day, they even changed the bed linens.
The food was very varied. For both lunch and dinner, we could choose from several types of meat (pork, chicken prepared in different ways), and there was turkey and beef as well. Almost every evening, fish was also offered, such as salmon, on multiple occasions. The side dishes were also diverse: potatoes prepared in several ways, rice, steamed vegetables, polenta, pea stew. In addition, there was grilled eggplant and zucchini, which we particularly enjoyed. There were also several types of pickles and salads, so we always found something new to try. However, we missed the French toast at breakfast.
The breakfast was also plentiful, with a wide variety of egg dishes to choose from, as well as different cheeses, pastries (although not always fresh), muesli, dried dates, and plums. Unfortunately, warm milk was only available from the coffee machine, and it was made from powder, but there was always cold milk. Some of the butter tasted slightly rancid, and the only vegetables available were tomatoes and cucumbers, with no peppers at all. On the bright side, freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juice was available, which was a refreshing addition to breakfast. Several kinds of jam and honey were also on offer.
In the evenings, there was also a chocolate fountain, although it didn’t always work properly, accompanied by bananas and 5-6 types of cakes, including sponge cakes and traditional Bulgarian sweets. The small profiteroles were particularly delicious. For lunch and dinner, several types of cakes and ice cream were also available. Every meal included fresh fruit options, which was another positive aspect.
The coffee was decent, and several coffee machines were available, so there was never a need to wait in line. Additionally, they offered various teas and soft drinks like Cola, Zero Cola, Fanta, Sprite – though these drinks were sweeter than average. There was also orange juice, pineapple juice, apple juice, soda, and still water. During lunch and dinner, guests could pour themselves beer, as well as red, white, and rosé wine.
At the hotel bar and the pool bar, you could order Bulgarian-style drinks, 5-6 types of cocktails, spirits, beer, soft drinks, and juices. Only white and red wine were available at the bars, but both were fine in terms of taste. The dining room wine was better than what was offered at the bar, but this wasn’t an issue. The beach bar’s selection was a bit simpler: beer, water, juices, soft drinks, and coffee, which suited the location perfectly, and nothing more was needed.
The snack bar offered two types of pizza, though they were likely store-bought since they weren’t the tastiest, but still edible. There were cakes, ice cream, and fried cheese, though since it wasn’t always hot enough, the cheese hardened a bit, but it was still consumable. We only ate there once, as the restaurant’s offerings were more plentiful and better.
There were also themed nights, like Bulgarian, Italian, Oriental, and Mediterranean evenings. Unfortunately, we missed the Mediterranean one, but the others were great. The Italian night was particularly well-done, with delicious dishes like lasagna, pizza, and well-prepared pasta.
The hotel's location is excellent, the sea is 150 meters away, but the private beach is 500 meters away, and the return trip is quite steep, which was a bit disappointing, but the exercise was welcome after all the meals. However, it’s unfair that only 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella are provided per room, even if there are 4 of us (3 adults and 1 16-year-old "child").
The staff was extremely kind and always smiling, even the cleaners greeted us warmly. The reception staff and bar personnel were impeccable, except for one employee at the pool bar. He always seemed bored and indifferent, constantly grimacing, and wasn’t very friendly with the guests.
In the bathroom, there was a small hanging cable by the shower, and the lighting wasn’t properly installed, which could be dangerous. Additionally, the handle on the shower door was broken and taped up, but a sharp piece was sticking out, which could easily cut someone’s hand.
Although the price-to-value ratio was fine, overall, I would rate it more as a 3+ star hotel rather than 4 stars. My expectations weren’t too high, but we had a great holiday that exceeded them.
